    Unboxing the Redmi Note 14 Series: A powerhouse of performance, camera and battery life, with flagship features at an affordable price.

    Since their release, I have all the time been wanting to write about the Redmi Note 14 series but I strongly believe this is the best time. We have seen a lot of devices released from early November till date. Companies outgoing themselves, people doing comparisons on the devices, but I love that this set stands out for me. The Redmi Note 14 series are groundbreaking, right from their build, the software advancement, the hefty processors. Before I forget, I love the AI camera features.

    This is a fabulous set of handsets, announced on the 03rd of January and released on the 10th of January 2025. Each of these devices boasts powerful performance improvements like we shall see.

    Now, there is a debate about whether the predecessors, the Redmi Note 13 series are better than the note 14 series. There is one thing I can tell you for sure. I have used all these devices and I am assuring you that there are significant changes and improvements that I am sure you would love if you chose to get a device in the current series.

    Let me take you through these flagships so you can make a comparison and decide which is better.

    Redmi Note 14

    This is the entry model, but it is still perfect for its price. The device is 196,5g light and 8.16mm thick, making it easy to hold and put in your pocket. It features a 108MP Camera, a 2MP Depth camera and a 2MP Macro camera; this delivers an HD picture quality that will stay crystal clear even when zoomed in. Its camera has a wide range of smart features to support your creativity.

    The handset has a Corning Gorilla Glass 5, giving you scratch resistance and All-Star Durability, an IP54 Splash proof, Touch control with wet fingers, a large 5500 mAh battery. What I like about this battery is that it has a smart charging engine that gives the user a smart battery management system that learns the users' daily charging habits and then adjusts the voltage and current in real time to slow down battery degradation. The battery capacity remains above 80% even after 4 years and 1600 cycles. Isn’t that a thing, huh?!

    It is equipped with the MediaTek Helio G99-Ultra, which accords you pronounced energy efficiency.

    The Redmi Note 14 boasts a noteworthy OLED display with a large 6.67-inch screen that supports a peak 120Hz refresh rate. 2400 x 1080 resolution, 2160Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate, 1800 nits of peak brightness.

    The device offers AI Face Unlock, Multifunctional NFC, an IR Blaster and guess what? It also has an electronic compass.

    Redmi Note 14 Pro

    This is the mid-tier. Just keep reading; you’ll like the features. Now, this specific device has advanced imaging performance with its groundbreaking 200MP AI camera. 200MP imaging system that delivers an enhanced image quality. This Primary camera has powerful hardware and OIS, I love that you get vivid details and unblended night shots. This camera boasts a 2x and 4x optical-grade lossless zoom. The AI Erase Pro enables you to erase unwanted disarray from your pictures. The AI beautifier has gender recognition and pro-level beauty features to enhance your shots.

    The Redmi Note 14 pro is well equipped with P64 dust and water resistance to protect your handset against water splashes and dust. 

    The device accommodates a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 that is scratch and drop resistant. You needn’t worry about accidental drops.

    It has precise and efficient AI features that include Gemini Extensions, Image Generation and Gemini overlay.

    The handset comes with the MediaTek helio G100-ultra, a high efficiency chipset that enhances performance, imaging and connectivity for an enriched user experience.

    More flagship features include an in-screen fingerprint, an IR blaster, Multifunctional NFC and Linear motor haptic feedback.

    The Redmi Note 14 pro+ 5G

    This is the high end of the series. The End-to-End (E2E) AI Remosaic algorithms that significantly enhance processing speed and image quality enable you to capture Ultra-clear 200MP images with rich details and vibrant colors. You get a 4x lossless zoom that can easily switch between different focal lengths. Take more stunning night shots with clarity in light and shadow. You get innovative AI tools like the AI Erase Pro, AI beautify, and AI Ultra-Clear Portrait.

    The Redmi Note 14 Pro + 5G features an IP68 dust and water resistance, the device can be submerged in up to 1.5 meters of water. You get wet-touch technology.

    The phone boasts the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 that is drop and scratch resistant with a =200% Front Drop resistance.

    The device also has precise AI features, but the most impressive is circling to search with google.
